Welcoming the Renard balloon crew for the 38th Chalon-sur-Saône hot air balloon rally

Now that work in the vineyard is gradually coming to an end before the busy harvest season begins, we had the pleasure of welcoming the crew of the Renard hot air balloon, who came to take part in the 38th Chalon-sur-Saône Hot Air Balloon Festival. The weather was particularly warm, meaning that only the early morning flights could take place. Thanks to a northerly wind, Saturday’s flight carried us from Mercurey to Meursault, while on Sunday we travelled from Prairie Saint-Nicolas in Chalon-sur-Saône to Gergy.

Meanwhile, the vines are beginning to show signs of water stress. We are now hoping that July will bring some much-needed rainfall and milder temperatures.
